Village at Meridian Adds New Retailers, Restaurants and Fitness Studio in Phase II Expansion

Downtown Boise, Idaho

The Village at Meridian in Ada County is set to grow significantly over the coming months as CenterCal Properties moves forward with a Phase II expansion that will bring new retail shops, dining options, and a fitness studio to one of the Treasure Valley’s most visited shopping destinations. Initial tenants are expected to open in September 2026, with the full buildout projected for completion by February 2027.

New Tenants Announced for Meridian Shopping District

California-based CenterCal Properties has confirmed a lineup of national and regional brands for the expansion. On the retail side, shoppers can expect activewear brands Vuori and Alo, jewelry and accessories retailers Kendra Scott and Gorjana, Western boot and lifestyle brand Tecovas, and mattress and sleep product company Tempur-Pedic. The dining additions include Flower Child, a fast-casual restaurant concept, and Paris Baguette, a bakery café chain. Rounding out the announcement is Solidcore, a high-intensity strength training studio that will serve the growing fitness market in Meridian.

CenterCal stated the Phase II buildout is designed to extend the property’s walkable atmosphere and add outdoor gathering spaces, furthering the open-air lifestyle appeal that has become a hallmark of The Village at Meridian since its original development. The company noted additional tenants will be announced as leasing continues toward the project’s completion date.

Jean Paul Wardy, CEO of CenterCal Properties, pointed to the property’s track record in a recent statement. “The Village at Meridian continues to be one of the strongest retail environments in the country,” Wardy said.

Why Meridian Continues to Attract Major Retail Investment

CenterCal’s decision to invest further in Meridian reflects broader economic trends that have made the city a draw for businesses across the region. Meridian consistently ranks among the fastest-growing cities in the United States, driven by sustained residential construction, rising household incomes, and continued commercial development throughout the Treasure Valley. That combination has created a consumer base that national retailers are eager to reach.

Founded in 2004 and headquartered in El Segundo, California, CenterCal Properties operates shopping and mixed-use centers across five western states: California, Idaho, Oregon, Utah, and Washington. The company’s continued expansion at The Village at Meridian signals confidence in Ada County’s long-term economic trajectory, even as retail real estate nationally faces pressure from e-commerce and shifting consumer habits.

For Meridian residents and families, the expansion adds more local options for dining, fitness, and specialty shopping without requiring a trip to Boise or other larger markets. The mix of activewear, lifestyle, and jewelry brands also reflects the preferences of younger, higher-income households that have settled in the Treasure Valley in recent years. Those looking for fitness options in particular now have another choice alongside existing studios in the area — including the Tee Box indoor golf training facility also set to open in Meridian this summer.

Impact on Ada County Residents and Local Economy

Commercial expansions of this scale typically generate new jobs during both construction and ongoing operations, adding to the tax base and providing employment opportunities for Meridian and Ada County residents. The addition of outdoor gathering spaces as part of the design is consistent with the city’s emphasis on walkable, community-centered development — the kind of mixed-use environment that supports local businesses and foot traffic while keeping spending within Ada County rather than online or out of state.

Retail growth in Meridian also supports property values and continued investment in surrounding residential neighborhoods, a consideration that matters to Ada County homeowners who have watched the region’s real estate market evolve rapidly over the past decade. Ada County residents who enjoy community-centered venues may also find interest in other recently upgraded local destinations, including the Boise Whitewater Park, which has drawn national attention after ongoing improvements.

What Comes Next

The first wave of Phase II tenants is scheduled to open at The Village at Meridian in September 2026, with remaining businesses following through the winter and the full project wrapping up by February 2027. CenterCal Properties has indicated that additional tenant announcements are forthcoming as lease agreements are finalized. Shoppers and residents interested in staying updated on openings and construction progress can follow The Village at Meridian’s official communications for announcements as they become available.
