Boise Airport is welcoming the summer travel season with a series of new attractions and amenities for passengers passing through BOI. On Thursday, May 21, the airport will offer free ice cream from local nonprofit BelongCo between 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. in a nod to the warmer months ahead.
Travelers can also explore a new history exhibit highlighting a century of operations at Boise Airport, along with a glimpse at what lies ahead — including expansion plans that call for a new concourse featuring up to 10 additional gates.
New Dining and Retail Options Now Open
The airport is showcasing a fully launched lineup of dining and retail vendors. New food and beverage spots include Bardenay, Flying M Coffee, The STIL, and Waffle Me Up, giving travelers a stronger selection of local flavors before they board.
On the retail side, Boise Depot and The Shop@Treasure Valley carry locally made goods, specialty foods, and Idaho-themed souvenirs — offering passengers a way to take a piece of the Treasure Valley with them on their journey.
The additions reflect continued investment in the airport’s passenger experience as Boise and the broader Ada County region continue to grow. The planned concourse expansion signals that airport leadership is preparing for sustained increases in travel demand in the years ahead.
