‘Always curious,’ this Boise TV journalist is signing off after decades

Boise TV Journalist Signs Off After Decades in Local News

A longtime Boise television journalist is stepping away from the camera after decades covering news across the Treasure Valley. Known for an enduring sense of curiosity that shaped a career in local broadcasting, the veteran reporter is retiring from the profession that defined much of their public life in Idaho.

The journalist’s run in Boise TV news spanned decades, a stretch during which the city grew from a mid-sized capital into one of the fastest-growing metros in the American West. Local TV journalists who stay in one market for that length of time become familiar fixtures for generations of viewers.

The departure is the latest in a series of changes in Boise’s local media landscape. Community members can still find local stories that celebrate Treasure Valley residents making a difference — like the Boise senior living community bringing joy to residents through a unique cycling program — as well as neighbors finding creative solutions to local challenges, like a Boise woman who built a community map to track rat sightings in her neighborhood.

No date for a final broadcast has been publicly announced.
