Boise State Releases 2026 Pac-12 Football Schedule, Opens Season Against Oregon

Boise State University has announced its football schedule for the 2026 season, marking the program’s first year competing in the Pac-12 conference. The Broncos will open the season with a marquee nonconference matchup against the University of Oregon, followed by a home game against Memphis in week two.

Nonconference and Conference Slate

The Broncos will play four nonconference games before beginning Pac-12 competition in week five against Utah State at Albertsons Stadium in Boise. Memphis will make its first appearance at the Blue Turf during the nonconference portion of the schedule.

The regular season will conclude on November 28 with what Boise State Athletics is calling a nonconference flex game. Potential opponents include Colorado State, Fresno State, Utah State, or Washington State. The opponent, kickoff time, and broadcast network will be announced no later than six days before the game, according to the university.

Stadium Upgrades and Season Ticket Push

Fans attending games at Albertsons Stadium will experience significant facility improvements for the 2026 season. The university is completing a nearly 70 million dollar North End Zone expansion project designed to enhance the game day experience and allow the stadium to host large-scale events beyond football.

A new blue turf surface will also be installed this summer. The field design will include tributes to former Boise State standouts Ashton Jeanty and Kellen Moore.

Boise State Athletics has set a goal of selling 23,000 season tickets for the 2026 season. Season tickets are available for purchase online or by calling the Boise State Athletics Ticket Office at 208-426-4737.

Impact on Boise State and the Treasure Valley

The move to the Pac-12 represents a significant step for Boise State’s football program, which has built a national reputation over the past two decades. The conference change is expected to bring increased visibility and television exposure to the university and the Treasure Valley region.

The stadium expansion and infrastructure improvements reflect the university’s commitment to maintaining a competitive football program and enhancing the experience for fans who support Bronco athletics. The North End Zone project has been in development for several years and is one of the largest capital projects in Boise State Athletics history.

What Comes Next

Boise State will announce specific kickoff times and television networks for individual games as the season approaches. The flex game opponent and details for the November 28 contest will be determined later in the season based on conference standings and scheduling considerations.

Fans interested in securing season tickets for the inaugural Pac-12 season can visit the Boise State Athletics website or contact the ticket office directly. The new blue turf installation is scheduled for completion before the start of the 2026 season.
