The Board of Ada County Commissioners will hold an informational meeting next week to assess the scope of rodent infestation across the county and coordinate responses among local jurisdictions.
The meeting takes place at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 2, in the First Floor Public Hearing room at the Ada County Courthouse, 200 W. Front St., Boise. City, county, and state officials are scheduled to address the gathering, which aims to “gather information on the extent of the rat problem from each of Ada County’s six cities and unincorporated Ada County, and hear from subject matter experts and key stakeholders,” according to the Board of Ada County Commissioners, as first reported by the Idaho Press.
The public is invited to attend, though the meeting will not include a public comment period. Residents unable to attend in person can watch remotely via the Ada County YouTube channel at youtube.com/@adacountyidaho7995/streams.
The session is framed as an information-gathering exercise, with commissioners seeking input from representatives of Boise, Eagle, Meridian, Kuna, Star, and Garden City, as well as unincorporated areas of Ada County.
