Boise Greenbelt repairs are planned near Arid Club after crews blocked access to a space where police said people had been camping. The city installed temporary concrete blocks after removing a roof-like structure from the area.
Boise Greenbelt erosion work planned
City engineers identified possible erosion along a roughly 10-by-30-foot section of riverbank. Boise plans to reshape the bank, place rock along it and plant willows as part of the repair work.
The project is intended to help protect the Boise Greenbelt from future flooding. Funding will come through the city’s Enhance the River program.
Greenbelt users may face brief delays
Four trees are scheduled for removal, with 12 trees to be planted in their place. Flaggers may briefly pause Greenbelt users when equipment needs to cross the path.
The city hopes to begin the work this winter, and the repairs are projected to take no more than a couple of weeks.
