Boise State University is inviting faculty members to join a new Research Mentor Collaborative, a community designed to support and strengthen undergraduate research mentoring across academic disciplines. The initiative brings together experienced and newer faculty to exchange strategies, build professional networks, and advance best practices in guiding student research teams.
The collaborative will meet on the second Tuesday of each month beginning September 9, with sessions held from 9 to 11 a.m. via Zoom. Faculty participants will share mentoring approaches, discuss challenges and opportunities specific to their fields, and contribute to an interdisciplinary manuscript that documents findings from the group’s discussions.
The program is facilitated by Nicole Chodkowski of the Undergraduate Research and Mentoring Institute, Katherine Doyon of the College of Health Sciences, and Michal Temkin Martinez of the College of Arts and Sciences. Interested faculty must submit an online application by 5 p.m. on Wednesday, September 2.
