A man was rushed to the hospital Saturday after falling unconscious while hiking the Table Rock Trail in Boise. Boise Fire and Ada County EMS responded to the scene shortly after 11 a.m. following a report of an adult male in medical distress on the popular trail.
Emergency crews located the unconscious hiker approximately halfway up the trail, administered on-site medical care, and then transported him to a nearby hospital. His condition was not immediately disclosed.
Table Rock Trail, a well-known route overlooking the Boise foothills, draws hikers year-round. Visitors are encouraged to carry water, notify someone of their plans, and be aware of the physical demands of the terrain — especially during warmer months.
Ada County residents who enjoy outdoor recreation may also want to keep Boise’s natural spaces clean and safe. A recent cleanup effort pulled 3,800 pounds of trash from the Boise River, with organizers noting more work remains to be done across the area’s green spaces.
