A woman was killed in a shooting at a West Bench vacation rental home early Sunday morning in Boise. The incident, which occurred during a party at the residence, remains under active investigation with no suspect yet identified or arrested.
Boise Police and Boise Fire responded to the home in the 3900 block of West Clement Road just before 6 a.m. on August 30, 2026. First responders found an adult female on the front porch with a gunshot wound. Boise Fire crews and Ada County paramedics began lifesaving measures at the scene, but the woman succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead.
Shooting Details and Response
According to initial investigation findings, an unknown suspect in a sedan-style vehicle drove past the residence and fired multiple rounds at the home while an active party was taking place inside. A large number of occupants were present in the house when officers arrived, creating a complex scene for responders to manage.
Police officers secured the perimeter, evacuated the home, and systematically cleared each room to ensure no additional victims or threats remained inside. Officers also contacted witnesses present at the gathering to begin gathering information about the incident.
No injuries beyond the fatal shooting were reported, and no other occupants were struck by gunfire.
