The Village at Meridian is set to grow significantly, with California-based CenterCal Properties announcing a Phase II expansion that will add six new buildings and 80,000 square feet of commercial space to the already 1-million-square-foot mixed-use destination in Meridian, Idaho, roughly 10 miles west of downtown Boise.

What’s Coming to the Village at Meridian

Nine tenants have already signed on for the expansion, covering a mix of retail, fitness, dining, and home goods. The confirmed lineup includes apparel brands Vuori, Alo, and Tecovas, along with jewelry retailers Kendra Scott and Gorjana. Fitness studio solidcore will bring its high-intensity workout format to the development, while Tempur-Pedic will offer its mattress and sleep products. On the dining side, Flower Child and Paris Baguette round out the initial committed tenants.

The first businesses are expected to open their doors in September 2026, with full Phase II completion targeted for February 2027. The expansion builds on an already substantial commercial footprint that has made the Village one of the most prominent retail hubs in the Treasure Valley.

What This Means for Meridian and Ada County

For Meridian residents and Ada County shoppers, the expansion adds nationally recognized brands that have not previously had a presence in the local market. Meridian has experienced rapid population growth over the past decade, and commercial development has worked to keep pace with demand from a growing customer base across the Treasure Valley.

The mix of fitness, fashion, dining, and specialty retail reflects a broader trend toward experiential, walkable commercial centers designed to keep shoppers on-site for extended visits. The Village at Meridian’s Phase II follows that model, pairing lifestyle retail with food and wellness offerings in a concentrated commercial district.

Meridian’s city council has also been actively evaluating how mixed-use proposals fit within the community’s long-term planning goals. Earlier this year, the council sent a separate mixed-use proposal at Syringa Crossing back to the planning commission for further review after the developer restructured the project, underscoring the level of scrutiny the city applies to large commercial and residential mixed-use developments.

What Comes Next

With initial tenant openings scheduled for September 2026, shoppers and residents interested in tracking which businesses open first can monitor announcements from CenterCal Properties and the Village at Meridian directly. The full Phase II buildout — all six buildings across 80,000 square feet — is expected to wrap up by February 2027.

For Ada County businesses, property owners, and residents, the expansion represents continued private investment in Meridian’s commercial core. Nine committed tenants ahead of a single shovel hitting the ground suggests strong market confidence in the Treasure Valley’s economic trajectory and consumer spending power heading into 2027.
