Bronco Welcome: call for programs and volunteers

Boise State Seeks Volunteers and Program Hosts for Bronco Welcome Week Starting Aug. 18

Boise State University is calling on students, faculty, and staff to help shape the experience for incoming and returning Broncos this fall. The university’s annual Bronco Welcome event kicks off Aug. 18, 2026, and organizers want the entire campus community involved.

Campus departments interested in hosting activities — whether to highlight key resources or foster a sense of community — can register their events through the university’s CampusGroups platform or submit a Bronco Welcome event registration form. Approved activities will be promoted on the official Bronco Welcome website, giving new students an easy way to discover programs and connect with their campus home.

Beyond hosting, individuals across campus are encouraged to sign up as volunteers to help create a welcoming environment during the opening weeks of the semester. For those who want to show their Bronco spirit, official Bronco Welcome t-shirts are available for $12 each — a popular option for volunteers and department hosts alike. Orders must be submitted by July 27.

The event represents one of Boise State’s most visible efforts to ease the transition for new students and re-engage returning ones at the start of the academic year. Campus involvement from multiple departments strengthens the reach of those early connections. If you’re involved in other campus engagement opportunities, note that Shared Leadership program applications are also open now with limited availability.

Questions about participating, volunteering, or hosting a program can be directed to getinvolved@boisestate.edu.
